Individualized Activities and Your Adult Day Care

Can be used for the AD Specialization Track

Adult Day participants have been a challenge for activities for awhile. This class will assist you in providing “Activities to GO!” so that they can do activities on their own and have programs that meet their interests when they have the time and energy to participate. You can develop programs that they can take with them, have ongoing projects for your volunteers and provide interesting, adaptive programming for all.

Internet Resources and Your Adult Day Care

Can be used for the AD Specialization Track

This continuing education program has been designed to assist the Activity Professional in finding information on the internet, to enhance their programs and meet the needs and interests of their residents. There is so much information available for activities on the internet, that using the tools included in this packet will assist in having information at your finger tips. It can also be used to teach your participants how to find information using the many resources of the World Wide Web.

Your Community and Your Adult Day Care

Can be used for the AD Specialization Track

Developing programs that meet the needs and interests of your participants, especially the “younger” residents of your facility can be a challenge.  Some research in your community and on the Internet will help you develop programs that highlight your hometown as well as establish contacts for marketing your facility and your activities department. It will also assist with outings, current events, and unique programs for your residents and encourage your “younger” residents opportunities to assist you in programming for them.
